Village of the Hills to Hold public meeting

The City of Lakeway is requesting to annex the Villas of the Hills from the Village of the Hills. The City of Lakeway is currently reviewing which unincorporated areas such as the Villas are benefiting from its services, such as waste disposal, but not paying taxes to the city. Alternately, Mayor DeOme of Lakeway proposed that The Hills annex the land and take responsibility for its services. A hearing will be held on Thursday, August 5th at 8:30 AM during the meeting of the Village of the Hills' aldermen meeting to allow residents to comment on the request.
