Lake Travis High School has been named to Newsweek's top 1000 schools in the country list. The list represents only 6% of the high schools in the U.S. and Lake Travis has been named to the list every year since 2006. The list is based on test scores, AP/IB courses offered, and other factors. Other area schools that made the list include Westlake, Westwood, and Bowie high schools.
